This is:
a links page for my fellow Aidmates with diabetes. A VERY expensive disease. God Bless us as we journey through having a life that includes being a diabetic.
Remember diabetes is not your life . You just happen to have diabetes as an added dimension of your life.
YOU HAVE DIABETES , DIABETES DOES NOT HAVE YOU !!!
Lately I haven't been sleeping well. As a result , my morning blood sugars are between 130 and 170 NOT GOOD for fasting blood sugars. If you find your morning sugars are rising and you haven't been sleeping well , check this link out. Also , check out if you may have sleep apnea as many overweight ( most type 2's struggle with weight. I do .) diabetics do.

Even though I have had diabetes for 21 years , I still have questions and sometimes fears about what is happening or might happen to my body . This site has the most current information that I can find and also has links to even more information . You can also search for a local branch by typing in your zip code. This comes in handy if you need a support group , a refresher course ( where you will find so much new stuff if you have not had a diabetes education for current developements) and you will find that they will go out of their way to help you find resources and financial solutions. This is their site list page :
